Since last month, guests at the cottage have been able to enjoy this unique experience led by certified instructors, combining a discovery of the local area with a special bond with the horses. “We wanted to offer our visitors an authentic immersion in the surrounding nature,” explains Claire, the cottage owner. “And what better way to do that than at a horse’s peaceful walking pace?”
The trails, suitable for all levels, cross flowery meadows, run along shaded streams, and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Beginners can opt for a one-hour stroll, while more experienced riders will enjoy two to three-hour treks with canters along forest paths.
Lucie, a tourist from Lille, shares her experience with enthusiasm: “I had never been on a horse before, but the team really made me feel confident. My horse, Tango, was lovely. I felt like I was in a movie!”
At the end of the ride, cyclists are invited to a country-style snack featuring local products, served under the shade of an old oak tree. A beautiful way to extend this timeless moment.
With this activity, the Gîte des Vallons further establishes itself as a must-visit destination for lovers of nature and tranquility. A bucolic break to be experienced at the rhythm of hooves.
